I lost my first disc! RIP Wraith

Not more than a couple weeks ago I was writing up some tips for this website and I said I had never actually lost a disc because I had folks who were willing to help me search for them with me. Well, I was playing a game with my three children the other day and a rogue disc thrown by my oldest son, Anderson, went into some tall tall grass.
After searching for a good 10 minutes ourselves with no luck a group came up behind us. I offered them the playthrough option and instead of helping me look....they played through! :) Kinda funny really, they are the first group to ever playthrough vs help look for a disc that I have encountered. It wasn't another 10 minutes before a second group came through and when they saw I was hunting for a disc without me saying anything they all immediately started going through the weeds. After a few minutes with nearly 10 people hunting for a disc we all gave up and moved on. Took it for a lost disc and will look the next time I play this course again.
What's funny is I continued to play behind this group for the remainder of the course and a couple holes later they had lost a disc themselves. I joined them in hunting for it and ironically it was the same type of disc I had lost earlier (although a different color) and I was the one to find it! And to really top things off I lost a disc again a couple holes ahead!!! Since they were right ahead of me they saw where it landed (thankfully the holes run parrallel part of the way) and pointed it out to me no muss no fuss.
So, even though I lost my first disc, I don't feel too bad considering I could have lost two! I don't have my name and number on my discs, but I think going forward I will probably put it on them just in case.
